About Me

Welcome to my page!

My name is Jessica Concha and I am currently a part-time student at The University of Texas at El Paso. I am also a Herbalife nutritionist and dedicate myself to helping those with health problems or difficulty with weight management. I am also a crafter; I design and sell vinyl creations and any craft related project. I have also recently started my own family in which a baby girl was born. In my part-time schedule at my university, I am currently taking an English 1311 class for which I must do this assignment and focus on a research topic for the semester. My research topic for this semester is sexual education in schools. Throughout this semester I will discuss the benefits and consequences that come from having a sexual education class in schools. In my personal belief, I feel like it is very important for young children to know about sex and all the good and bad things that may come from it. Young children should have some knowledge about birth control, abstinence, STD’s, and pregnancy along with many other things that may be included in the topic of sex. The reason I chose this topic is because I am an older sister of three and I believe they should get information about sex before actually jumping into it. I also believe they should have the confidence and should be comfortable with asking questions about sex. I know the last person oneself wants to talk about sex is with a family member. For that reason they should be provided with the opportunity to talk to an outside source and be able to ask questions comfortably without having that awkward conversation with the parents or family members. These are just some of my beliefs which I will discuss further into detail throughout this website. Enjoy!
